He's Here!

06/07/2020

God's people had waited a long time for the rescuer to arrive.  They had returned home and rebuilt Jerusalem under Ezra and Nehemiah.  Now, they hoped the rescuer would come to free them from the Romans.

But the rescuer was coming for a much greater purpose.  He was coming to save the people from something far more oppressive than the Romans.  He was coming to solve a problem that had been with humans from close to the very beginning.

All of God's work had been pointing forward to this rescuer.  And now, He was here!

The Bible is about the promised Savior.  The Bible is a map that leads us to treasure we will find: Jesus Christ!

Intro

Finally, the rescuer was going to arrive!  John wrote some epic words to show how important His arrival was.

Read the Story for Yourself!

Luke 2

Take a sec to read the story directly from God's Word!  You can find it in Luke 2.

A great way to read it is in the International Children's BIble (ICB) translation.  It's a simple and accurate Bible translation designed for kids.  Adults, like me, like it too!

Jesus is the promised Savior!

God had promised to send Jesus, even from the moment that humans rebelled against Him in the garden of Eden.  Nothing could stop God's plan.  No matter how many times His people ran away, God never gave up.  His love for His people was unbreaking.  It would last always and forever.

God loved His people so much that He sent His Son so that those who believe in Jesus would have everlasting life.
